My Dear Acquaintance (A Happy New Year), Regina Spektor
This is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Pure hilarity and genius.
With just two albums under her belt, it is too early for Adele to do a cover album, as a cover album generally suggests the sun-set of one’s singing career.
And, for our sake, we can only hope that for the foreseeable future—and even beyond—Adele continues to make the incredible music that she does.
But, if she were to make a cover album today, these are songs I would love to hear her cover.
What happened when we put the iPhone 4S’s (somewhat) intelligent agent Siri on the spot, asking her absurd questions? You’d be surprised.
Each day the chatter grows. Yesterday’s news was that the A&M-to-the-SEC deal was a done deal.
I do not know if that is true or not—but it does not matter. Like most, my inclination is that, regardless of whether it’s already done, Texas A&M is SEC-bound. And so the question is not if, but when.
And the notion raises another question.
Adding A&M to the league gives the SEC an odd number of teams. There is no reason to doubt that the SEC will look to even out. Who will be the SEC’s fourteenth team? Oklahoma, Clemson and Virginia Teach have all been mentioned. But yesterday’s buzz was that the SEC’s fourteenth team would be the Florida State Seminoles.
